Accounting Clerk: Accounts Payable position.Houselink Logo

This is 6 months contract and It is being posted externally. The deadline to apply is July 11, 2019 by 5:00.

This position requires understanding and working knowledge of accounting principles and ACCPAC ERP.

Responsibilities

The Accounting Clerk: Accounts Payable is responsible for carrying out assigned aspects of accounts payable including coding of invoices, data entry and filing along with various tasks in the accounting department according to the division of work and back up on the team.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required

  • working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles as applied to the non-profit sector
  • ability to work and communicate with staff and members from diverse backgrounds
  • ability to learn & implement procedures and guidelines
  • ability to work as a member of a team
  • knowledge of and ability to work with ACCPAC ERP or similar programs
  • knowledge and experience with spread sheet, word processing and data base programs

Job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a Criminal Records Check.  Houselink is committed to the hiring of staff with lived experience with mental health challenges.  Therefore, the information obtained from the criminal records check will be used only for determining whether the applicant represents any potential harm to our service participants.

This position is in Salary Grade 6. This is a bargaining unit position and is governed by the terms of the Collective Agreement.
